The 9th Biennial International Nursing Conference 2024, hosted by the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia (Oct 16-17, 2024), provides a valuable platform for scholars and healthcare professionals to exchange cutting-edge ideas and approaches in nursing education and practice.
Authors whose abstracts were selected for presentation at the conference now have the opportunity to submit their full manuscripts for publication in the Asian/Pacific Island Nursing Journal.
This invited collection showcases a selection of these short papers, offering valuable insights into the latest advancements in nursing education and practice aimed at improving global health outcomes.
Submission instructions
Submitting authors from the conference should follow standard Author Instructions for Asian/Pacific Island Nursing Journal to prepare their manuscript for submission.
Specifically, for these short paper submissions, authors should prepare their manuscript adhering to the short paper article type. Short papers are manuscripts with a structured abstract (maximum 450 words) and structured manuscript text in IMRD format (maximum 1500 words, excluding tables/figures and references). Prepare a cover letter that includes a statement that the author has presented this work at this conference.
When submitting the manuscript to the Asian/Pacific Island Nursing Journal, select the appropriate section of the journal to submit their paper, entitled “9th Biennial International Nursing Conference 2024”.

Asian/Pacific Island Nursing Journal is indexed in PubMed, PubMed Central (PMC), DOAJ, Scopus, Cumulated Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), and the International Academy of Nursing Educators (INANE) directory of nursing journals.
Manuscripts undergo JMIR Publications’ rigorous external peer review in the Asian/Pacific Island Nursing Journal. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on whether submitted manuscripts are accepted, rejected, or transferred to another journal in the JMIR Publications portfolio according to using cascading peer review policy. If articles are transferred to another journal, the conference discount for the APF may be determined to be not applicable, at the discretion of the Publisher.
